Converse combines forces with Jerry Lorenzo’s Fear of God with an updated iteration of the classic Chuck Taylor 70 silhouette.

Produced under the ESSENTIALS line, the brand’s partnership showcases a contemporary spin on a Converse classic noted as a Lorenzo favourite. Taking hints from his design, this sneaker is made up in a neutral tone colour palette of black and natural, something present in the inner workings of Fear of God.

Fear of God takes classic silhouettes and reimagines them for long-lasting wear. But the ESSENTIALS diffusion line is exactly what the name implies – simple pieces with primarily muted tones. This is reminiscent of the colour palettes that YEEZY once possessed and a showcase of the influence that Lorenzo has had on Kanye West. Fear of God and the ESSENTIALS line is a statement to offer consumers more affordable and regular drops from Lorenzo’s collections as well as exclusive collaborations like this one.

The ESSENTIALS Chuck Taylor 1970 comes in two editions, made up with the usual accents of the timeless Converse it features a brand patch, silver-tone hardware and premium canvas fabrication. Its superior quality is accentuated through the use of a leather tongue and additional lace loops to the back. Finishing the sneaker is a high-gloss rubber toe-cap and ever-present All-Star embellishments throughout with ESSENTIALS detail branding to the heel.  A step up away from the ever-iconic Chuck Taylor 70, Converse hit new ground with help from Jerry Lorenzo.

The Converse X Fear of God are available to purchase through SEVENSTORE Launches from 21 MAY 20.
