Craig Green is already an established name to many; a man who has carved a unique position amongst the world’s most innovative designers. Established in 2012, Craig Green’s fashion brand of the same name has gained critical and commercial success globally and continues to win over legions of industry fans with his latest Autumn/Winter 19 collection.


 
Known for offering textural and minimal iterations of structural apparel, Craig Green combines utility and concepts of ready-to-wear uniform. His longstanding influence from workwear is ever-present in his collections and is clear through the A/W 2019 collection, which includes a combination of workwear coloured plaid jackets with a utilitarian edge.
 
Wearable is represented in the plain seeming cross-body straps, matte fabrics and wrapped belts on trench coats. A series of coats and jackets which Green describes as “somewhere between sportswear, tailoring and surgical wear” suggesting a clear representation of his design versatility and convergence.
 
A key piece from the collection is the Plaid Worker Jacket – made up with four pockets and tonal stitching, this devoted take on uniformity is desirable for any gender. While the aesthetic of this garment has remained consistent and fundamental to Craig Green, it has also resulted in a wider range of techniques and ideas.


 
Having established himself as one of the world’s most inventive creatives, Craig Green also resonates with other creative spheres and is looking forward to upcoming collaborations with sportswear giants, Adidas in SS20 as well cementing himself at the top of London menswear.
