adidas 4D expands its range with a new reflective 4D running shoe in two colourways.

4D was first revealed in 2017 as a concept release from FUTURECRAFT. The distinctive data-led design innovation uses technology to translate it into a silhouette with required movement, cushioning and stability directly into a midsole. Driving innovation forward also came in their collaboration with ocean conservation specialists, Parley. Ensuring the upper is entirely constructed with yarns made from plastic waste found in the sea. Carbon Digital Light Synthesis technology uses digital light projection, oxygen-permeable optics and programmable liquid resins to print high-performance, durable polymeric products.

A super-lightweight upper that features a reflective Primeknit is used, encapsulating reflectivity and a sock-like fit perfect for performance. Each thread is individually constructed with forgefibre, utilising its potential when stitched at various angles and layers for ultimate strength. The sole units of both shoes retain their bright green tones, backed with the subtle distinctive branding of adidas on the tongue tab.

The adidas 4D ALPHAEDGE is available in-store and online from 11 NOV 19.
